We are excited to welcome you. Our volunteers assist in a variety of ways — follow the steps below to learn more about the volunteer process.

To keep the sanctuary clean and germ-free, and to protect the health of our cats, we are no longer open for drop-in visits to the sanctuary or the boutique. Call or email us and we'll arrange a time that suits you.

Steps to volunteer with Hidden Treasures

From curious to on the schedule, in four steps.

It starts with a phone call — everything here is by appointment, so we can give you our full attention and keep the sanctuary safe for the cats.

    Get in touch for the manual

    Call or email us and we’ll send you the Hidden Treasures Volunteer Manual along with the two-page Liability Release / Contact Info form. Read the manual in full, then print and sign the form.

  2. 02

    Attend an orientation

    Attend a New Volunteer Orientation at Hidden Treasures Sanctuary. These are by appointment only — call us on (530) 828-2063 and we’ll arrange a time. Bring your signed Liability Release / Contact Info form.

  3. 03

    Shadow a volunteer

    Sign up to shadow a current volunteer on the Volunteer Schedule, and see how a shift really runs.

  4. 04

    You're one of us

    You are ready to be an official Hidden Treasures Sanctuary Volunteer. Sign up on the Volunteer Schedule at the rescue for shifts.

We'll send you everything you need.

The Volunteer Manual covers how the sanctuary runs and what a shift looks like, and comes with the two-page liability release you'll need to print and sign. Get in touch and we'll email both straight over.
